Takht movie is a historical drama around two warring brothers, motivated by the real-life rivalry between Mughal ruler Shah Jahan’s sons Aurangzeb and Dara Shukoh – for the throne. It’s about two warring brothers and it’s based on realities. The movie is about the war for love, Karan had said in an earlier interview.

Takht film is a Bollywood action-drama, has directed by Karan Johar. The film star features Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal. Including Bhumi Pednekar, Janhvi Kapoor, and Anil Kapoor in the lead positions. While the movie has its screenplay done by Sumit Roy. It has produced by Hiroo Yash Johar & Apoorva Mehta under the Dharma Productions banner.

Movie Plot:

Takht film is a multi-starrer historical-action drama set in the Mughal Era, with an exceptional emphasis on shameful hate. Between his sons, Aurangzeb and Dara Shukoh, who got into a gruesome battle of sequence behind Shah Jahan’s health ate. As noted in several historical accounts, Aurangzeb had corrosive hate for his elder brother Dara. They were liberal Muslims, spotted frequently in the company of yogi, sanyasis, and brahmins.

Dear to both Shah Jahan and his elder sister Jahanara Begum. Then who was a celebrated name in the Empire herself, Dara was a natural choice for the next heir- an idea that Aurangzeb couldn’t stand. Meanwhile, Roshanara Begum his other sister had a secret sore spot for Jahanara Begum for always living overshadowed by her popularity and glamour. With an extremely rooted hatred and infuriation, she decides to help Aurangzeb in his vicious plans of battling Dara, imprisoning Shah Jahan, and handling over the Throne himself.

The movie shooting keeps almost set and ready to make the blast on the big screen. But the post-production work is pending after that the moviemakers have announced the movie release date on 24 Dec 2021 in Theatres.
